What had to be solved
Wallbit is known as an account for freelancers; Wallbit Payroll, its product for companies, was new and competing with platforms already in place. Switching payroll providers is pure friction, and a 0% fee sounds too good to be true. We had to reach the founder who still pays the team by hand every month and feels every fee.
Who we looked for
- Founders and CEOs of startups with remote teams
- CFOs, controllers and finance leads
- Payroll and people leads
How we opened the conversation
- We opened with the fees that pile up per contractor, every month, and grow with the team.
- We mentioned the Y Combinator backing before they asked who we were.
- We showed the upside for the contractor: paid straight to their account, nothing to withdraw.
